Italy Quarantines almost 16 million people over coronavirus

Italy has seen the most serious outbreak of coronavirus in entire Europe. There have been more than 5000 suspected cases in different areas majority in northern parts of country. Italy took an unprecedented action by blocking almost 16 million people inside the country.

Italy’s prime minister Giuseppe Conte imposed an order on completely isolating the northern parts of country including Lombardi and its neighbouring cities resisting the movement of over 16 million people. This move came immediately after Italy detected 1247 new cases within 24 hours. In addition to 36 newly died persons the death toll rises to 233.

Globally new cases are emerging in new countries reporting their first suspected case, the overall global toll exceeds 100,000 people restricting human movement. The World Health Organization calls this outbreak “deeply concerning and fatal”.

Maldives also reported 2 new confirmed coronavirus cases in employees of a tourist resort. In Pakistan also 2 new cases of coronavirus have been detected rising the toll to 7.
